The report is published annually to provide a comprehensive overview of Japan’s online game market, continuing the market statistics survey conducted by the Online Game Forum in 2004.

The 2026 edition is the 22nd issue and presents survey data in two sections: the Business Section and the User Section.

It also covers related topics, including esports, blockchain (NFT) games, AI adoption and use, out-of-app payments for smartphone games, and indie games.

Report Briefing Seminar

Following publication, an online briefing seminar was held for JOGA member companies, offering a deeper look at the Chapter 2 user survey findings.

The seminar also covered detailed time-series comparisons and user-attribute cross-tabulations that were not included in the main report.
