Tokyo Game Show 2024 – THQ Nordic Booth
THQ Nordic
Exhibition Booth Planning, Construction & Operation
We supported THQ Nordic’s exhibition booth at Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS2024), held at Makuhari Messe in September 2024.
To effectively promote THQ Nordic’s diverse portfolio of titles to both domestic and international audiences, we developed a spatial design and operational plan that allowed multiple games from different genres to coexist within a single booth.
Scope of Implementation
We translated the unique world of each title into a physical space and developed a large-scale exhibition centered around hands-on demo experiences for a total of five titles.
Booth Design Reflecting Each Game’s World
“Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed”
We created a catchy, theme park–style area designed to naturally draw visitors in.
In addition to demo stations, photo spots were installed to create a space that could be enjoyed by a wide range of visitors.
“REANIMAL”
We recreated the eerie and fantastical atmosphere inherent to the title.
At the entrance, cosplayers dressed as in-game characters were positioned to welcome visitors.
The closed demo area was enclosed with black curtains, and atmospheric effects using smoke and lighting were employed to deliver a highly immersive horror experience.
Demo Experiences & Novelty Distribution
We designed demo operations tailored to the characteristics of each title, maintaining smooth visitor flow while maximizing user satisfaction.
We managed the distribution of limited-edition novelties designed to encourage attendance, helping to create a lively and engaging booth environment.
Our Role
・Planning & Design: We organized a diverse lineup of titles and proposed a booth concept that balanced high visibility with immersion, while also considering PR effectiveness.
・Booth Construction: For a 70-booth-unit exhibition space featuring individually designed areas for five titles, we delivered safe and highly precise construction.
・Operational Direction: We handled staff casting with multilingual support, prepared operational manuals, and managed demo queues, among other on-site operations.
